Bio: Tricia has a working studio where she weaves, spins, dyes, felts and makes soap. She enjoys taking raw material and following the total process to a finished product. She has always enjoyed the natural beauty of the place she lives and the different colours and natural materials available. She has been weaving since the early 1980's, spinning started about 1986 and led to felting in the 1990's when her supply of wool became more than she could use for spinning. Colour has always been part of her life and dyeing is a natural part of the fibre work. She did a research paper on Dyeing with Lichens as part of her study as a Master Spinner. She has taken workshops in all the different disciplines and is eager to pass on her knowledge so also teaches whenever possible. Tricia is a member of the Selkirk Weavers and Spinners Guild, Colville Fibre Friends, and Handweavers, Spinners and Dyers of Alberta The studio is open for browsing and visiting most afternoons and by appointment.
