Backgrounder: The deadline for submission of a film is November 4, 2011 and all films must be received in Vancouver on or before this date. It is free to submit a film and admission is $3. There will be CASH PRIZES for the local winning films, and as well, your film could be chosen to go on tour with the festival across Canada and around the world!

All submissions must: Be made by people 19 years old and younger; Be under 10 minutes (including titles and credits); Be original video (video you shot yourself) or have permission to use; Have original music or music you have permission from the artist to use. 

Film Festival Program: The program of short films will showcase a selection of locally made videos from local youth film producers mixed with some of the best youth film making from around the world. Funds raised at this screening will go towards the bigger U19 film festival event in April 2012 at the Royal Theatre in Trail.

2. The NEW and exciting Under 19 Film Festival

NOW Accepting Submissions 

BIG RED CARPET EVENT on April 14, 2012 at the Royal Theatre in Trail with food, music, door prizes and people’s choice awards ($5 per person)

CASH prizes in six categories (free to enter films!):

·         Drama

·         Documentary

·         Sports/adventure

·         Animation

·         Enviro

·         Original music

Rules

·         Under 10 minutes

·         Original music or music with the permission of artist

·         Made by youth in the West Kootenay region between the ages of 10-19

·         Each film submission has a completed submission form

·         Deadline for submissions is March 31, 2012
