Award Winning Kootenay Film finally comes home!
The award winning, Creston, B.C. independent film LOVERS IN A DANGEROUS TIME is making its long- awaited Kootenay debut. From the writing, directing, actor team of May Charters and Mark Hug, LOVERS IN A DANGEROUS TIME, which has been described as "an undeniably lovely film; natural, gorgeously shot, haunting, funny and practically oozing with Canadiana," Eric Volmers of the Calgary Herald, will be on a theatrical tour thoughout the Kootenays, coming to Rossland on May 30th, 2010 at 7:30pm to The Miners Hall (Tickets $10). The filmmakers will be in attendance at each screening.
A tale of small-town Canadian romance, the film follows a pair of childhood friends reunited at their high school reunion. Ten years after graduation Todd remains a local could-have-been, while Allison illustrates children's books and wonders what might have been. Fueled by hope, longing, and nostalgia they embark on a romantic, if illusory, adventure to recapture lost love and happiness.
LOVERS IN A DANGEROUS TIME will be screening:
Creston (May 24, Tivoli Theatre), Nelson (May 19,
Capital Theatre), Castlegar (May 28, Castle Theatre)
and Fernie (May 27, The Vogue Theatre). TICKETS
are $10. The Rossland screening is co-hosted by FLIKS
and the Rossland Council for Arts and Culture.
