Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival Best of

The Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival concluded its 11th year on March 1, 2008 by announcing its award-winning films and then sending them out on the road to communities across Canada. The tour, entitled the VIMFF's Best of the Fest will screen films in Nelson at Capitol Theatre, Thursday June 19 at 7:30 pm and in Rossland Saturday June 21st for a Solstice showing.

ART For PEOPLE Fundraising Art Show

The art show will take place in Martine Bédard and Andy Holme's home and garden at 1930 Monte Christo, Rossland. There will be wine and appetizers, a raffle to win a painting of your choice,
and lots of art to look at!

This year, the proceeds will go towards a street theatre project in Brazil and an art therapy project for families in the West Kootenays. We also envision a project in an orphanage in Bolivia in the next year.
